The Pearl Harbor Historic Sites (PHHS) include USS Arizona Memorial, USS Bowfin Submarine Museum and Park, Battleship Missouri Memorial, Pacific Aviation Museum- Pearl Harbor, the Pearl Harbor Historic Trail, and the USS Oklahoma Memorial.

The proposed improvements would provide an attractive, multimodal connection between the Kamehameha Highway and Kalaloa Street intersection and the central parking, reception and staging areas for the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites (PHHS).

Enhancing the landscaping treatments and pedestrian access will improve the overall experience for the visitor.

The planned improvements include the following major design elements:

  • Moss rock wall with entrance sign panel similar to signage design of the district.
  • Royal Palm bosque forming a backdrop to the gate.
  • Plant materials that are consistent with the design treatments of the other major gates.

Enhancing the landscaping treatments and pedestrian access will improve the overall experience for the visitor.
